Great People Make our Event Great

The San Antonio Summer Art & Jazz Festival is in its ninth year of providing great free entertainment to the public, however SAS Fest does a lot more for the community and it could not do this without the help and support of some great people.

SAS FEST also puts on two great events for its volunteers, a pre-event party, which is held one week before SAS Fest and the volunteer appreciation party, which is held one month after SAS FEST.

SAS Fest Board and some of its Volunteers at SAS Fest Pre-Festival Event and CD Release Party at The County Line Restaurant. Sponsored by the San Antonio Summer Art & Jazz Festival, Negra Modelo Dark Beer, KTFM 94.1 & the County Line Restaurant.

San Antonio jazz fans come out and join SAS Fest Volunteers to help dance up a storm at the SAS Fest Pre-Festival Event and CD Release Party at The County Line Restaurant. The San Antonio Summer Art & Jazz Festival holds two major parties for it's volunteers every year.

Three-time Grammy nominee Joe Posada opens up the festivities at the 2007 San Antonio Summer Art & Jazz Festival Pre-Festival Event and CD Release Party at The County Line Restaurant.

Besides providing great free entertainment for the family, the San Antonio Summer Art & Jazz Festival and the Boerne Art & Jazz Festival also benefits some of the following causes:

SAS FEST is host to 2 free jazz workshops during it's event. These workshops are developed for young student musicians in middle and high school and feature instruments associated with the style of jazz music.

A portion of the proceeds from SAS FEST benefit (ABC) Any Baby Can. ABC is a nonprofit organization that provides services free of charge to families with children from birth through 12 years of age, who have serious illnesses, disabilities and/or special needs.

SAS FEST is also host to about 25 children; 25 from Methodist Children's Home or 25 St. Peter-St. Joseph Children's Home, two great non- profit organizations that provides temporary care and housing for children who have been abandoned and/or abused. SAS FEST provides a special covered VIP area, dinner and a toy as a keep sake for these children.
